YESSS! #6 History in the Books

February 2nd, 2009 · No Comments

Too many heroes to call out but Big Ben, Santonio Holmes, James Harrison and Woodley all had montster games.  The Cardinals played pretty good too at the end.  If there was one minute on the clock it could have been a different story.  What a beautiful end to a very hard fought 2008 Season,
Final Score:
Steelers  [...]

Big Ben Ok, I think…

December 29th, 2008 · No Comments

Ok, I am happy that the Steelers thrashed the Browns today 31 – 0, but not without a scare. Big Ben was knocked down a few times today and had a crushing blow just before the half and was carted off on a stretcher with his head/neck stabilized.
He was on the field for almost 15 [...]

Hope you guys are having a good ramp up to Holiday Season.
In the past eeks, my Steelers won a cardiac game against the Boys and the Jets have dropped 2 in a row.  Are they for real or what.

NFL Topics

Ok, I am going out on a limb here by saying I dont see the Jets beating the undefeated Titans today at 1PM. I think it will be close, but the Jets will not be able to run the ball, which means more passing from Jet Favre and more chances of turnovers. This [...]

A few thoughts.
What a turn of events for my Steelers.  2 [...]

Steelers Win, but at a Price…

October 1st, 2008 · No Comments

Pitt Steelers won late last night 23 – 20 in OT against the Ravens.  Game was in Pittsburgh and ended a 12:30AM. ZZZZZZ…   Footnote, Steelers improved their MNF home record to 23 – 5, or all time best…
This was a monster struggle between 2 great defenses and shaky O line play.  Ravens QB Joe Flacco was very [...]

Week 3 Mini Recap

September 22nd, 2008 · Comments Off

Ok, so far 8 – 5 on the day, with Dallas and Jets game remaining.  Chance to get 10 wins this week.  Much better than the 3 wins last week.
Quick hits:
1. 3 words – A-Biz-Mal!  My Steelers got run roughshod by the Eagles Defense (15 – 6  Final).  Ben was sacked legit 8 times but [...]

Big Ben Shoulder Hurt but not Separated

September 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment

No time to panic in advance of Sunday’s intra-state rival game against the Eggles…
Reported rumors of Ben Roethlistberger with shoulder sprain, but not separated.  Noting a little cortizone wont fix, but it could impact his accuracy on all deep routes.  Thankfully the weather is warm now and the Steelers are off to a quick 2-0 [...]
